Publisher’s description

The AIR-based feed reader for serious news addicts, it's the lightweight, uncluttered way of getting breaking news. Get the news in real time like you never did before - as if you're in the newsroom, sitting right next to the telex machine. Follow Twitter feeds and searches without the need for a twitter client. Check on eBay auctions. Grab news by keyword from Google. And you'll only be notified when it matters, in the way you want it. If something you're interested in has an RSS feed - xml, rss, rdf, atom - with blago.telexer, you can keep up-to-the-minute tabs on what's happening. You can be sure you dont miss breaking news or updates anymore. You want to unclutter and simplify but still follow the news as its happening? If you feel overwhelmed by the hundreds of news items in a conventional RSS reader, then this is for you. If you want to keep up with real news, not gossip, and want to be notified of breaking news stories or emerging e-commerce opportunities then this is for you. If youre behind a computer all day and want to keep up-to-the-minute tabs on whats happening, this is for you. The .telexer is made to be useful while you *do stuff* and will not try to get in the way. You can specify each feeds refresh time yourself. Double-click the window bar to toggle the main window to a minimal state, and keep an eye on the latest news. Or have the notifier popup warn you of news with a sound. The .telexer displays an image if the feed has one. As it's an Air application, you could install this on Windows, Mac or Linux; it's up to you. The .telexer trial is fully functional, but *is* limited in a minor way. Every time you start up the .telexer, youll get notified automatically about news events that have occurred but *in the trial* those notifications will take place for the first two hours only. In the full version you'll also get the latest version updates, so youll always have the most recent version running. See the site for more!
