Registry Mechanic is an advanced registry cleaner for Windows that allows you to safely scan, clean, and repair registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks. With a few easy steps, Registry Mechanic will scan your entire registry for any invalid entries and provide a list of the errors found. You then can choose to clean each item or automatically repair them all after making a backup without the need for a registry editor such as Regedit.

This is an excellent program, but:
1. You do not purchase this program, you lease it for a year.
2. When you renew, the new renewal code does not allow the program to work.
3. There is no way to contact these people other than by e-mail which they do not return.

If you pay by credit card PCtools will after 12 months take money out of your account again , even if you expressedly indicated that you don't want automatic renewals.I check my account regularly and so spoted it and emailed PCtools immediately (God knows to which country the mail goes to) even then it took 2 weeks for them to reply. And of course no appology or reassurance that it won't happen again. Beats me how a company can be so arrogant and still expect you to remain a customer. The program works OK but so do the ones you can get for free like for examle "Ccleaner" (www.ccleaner.com) .
