From the developer: "VssConnect is a client/server solution that provides access to a SourceSafe(r) database over a slow internet connection. It is many times faster than accessing Visual Source Safe using an internet accessible network share and faster than SourceOffsite. The most common SourceSafe(r) database operations are supported (Get,Checkout,Checkin, Undo Checkout) and a number of features not found in Visual SourceSafe(tm) are available."
