  1. "New Mail" feature usually doesn't work Howard Brazee -- May 12 2005, 01.03

Maybe it's because I have a slow computer, but AutoRead isn't fast enough to mark most junk mail before I get the "New Mail" icon and need to mark all-read folders as all-read to get rid of it.

On the other hand $10 isn't much, and it lessens the number of such notifications.

    This program shouldn't be necessary.

  5. Excellent tool for downloading both main stream and less mainstream music MpathE None -- December 29 2004, 20.03

Easy to use, does often swamp with information, but in the end will generally get what you want. Very few (or no) bogus files. Geddit.

  • Suzanne Tindal Love me, tender
Considering how expensive and drawn-out tender processes can be to solve problems that might be very immediate, it's little wonder that the Victorian Police IT department tried to work the tender exemptions system.
  • Array Can not-so-smart meters help the NBN?
It was interesting to witness Conroy's recent enthusiasm to spruik the NBN's role in supporting the Smart Grid, Smart City initiative. What a pity that Conroy hadn't yet seen the damning report from the Victorian auditor-general about that state's smart-meter roll-out.

In the second of our two programs looking at the Senate Inquiry into the Telecommunications Legislation Amendment Bill, we hear from shareholders, bureaucrats and industry groups.
