Dick Smith has over 400 stores across Australia and New Zealand, but within Australia the Dell products will only be available on 6 May from its 70 largest stores.

The products will include Dell's Inspiron 15 and Studio 15 laptops as well as one configuration of its Studio One 19 all-in-one desktop computer.

Dell began selling retail in May last year when it formed a partnership with Officeworks. In December last year, the Good Guys also agreed to sell its products. Dell also operates kiosks in shopping malls throughout New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. Previously, Dell had only sold online.

"Over the past 12 months, we have made many enhancements to our local consumer business. These include investing in our online capability so customers can personalise their laptops with their favourite colours and designs, building strong partnerships in retail and launching an award-winning range of products in Australia," Evan Williams, Dell Australia's general manager consumer sales and marketing said in a statement.
