Sometimes in IT, you have to go back to the drawing board.

Who could have predicted that baby Stephen Conroy would grow up to be a big, strong, decisive communications minister?

We don't deserve him. Mel Sommersberg -- 24/03/09

"Who could have predicted that baby Stephen Conroy would grow up to be a big, strong, decisive communications minister?"

I want to know when it is actually going to happen. At the moment he is a ****-weak anti-democratic galoot with no idea of how to administer his ministry. Because of ineptitude on hsi part and the part of his soft leader, KRudd.

Or do we..? De La Trine -- 24/03/09 (in reply to #320126543)

Mr. Conroy now appears to be a decisively reclusive, a big shifty politician with a strong stomach for deception.

But who cares - The fact that Mr. Rudd is still popular (given a poll taken today in the Australian) means that when the chips are down, nothing Conroy does will really damage Labor's votes.

Only those who know about IT will despise his policies, and that counts for what, 5% of the voters? Pfft.

P.S. A bit more wit in the comics would be nice. Something ironic like Leunig's strips maybe?

No Mel Sommersberg -- 25/03/09 (in reply to #320126548)

KRudd's economic credentials will be his ultimate downfall. He doesn't need incompetant ministers even though he has plenty of them.

Ignore the polls. They are driven by KRudd's handout packages rather than his ability to honour election promises (Read the SMH today for more information) and keeping the country out of recession.

The old economic credential furphy. Jason -- 25/03/09 (in reply to #320126680)

Since you have taken us off topic and mentioned PM's credentials, Mel.

Don't believe the lie that Howard was a good economic manager. Just because someone said it over and over doesn't make it real. Also ignore the polls at your peril?

Before the last federal election, because of unfavourable polls (as he had done previously), John Howard said in desperation, 'interest rates will always be higher under Labor. Keeping in mind the highest bank rates in Australias history, were when Howard was Treasurer in 1982 at over 20%. Also remember absolutely contrary to Howard's scare mongering prediction/lies, interest rates are now at 40 year lows. How can that be, Mr Garrison said, lol?

Howard lied for years about his economic management and the interest rate furphy, heres a few links (for you to ignore or disregard, lol) from a few years back, when Garrison was up to his same old tricks.

I particularly like this quote about Howard - "Any fool can sell assets to reduce debt"... Is that your beloved Telstra being referred to?

Once again, I don't agree nor disagree with everything Howard or Rudd said/say and represent and certainly do not like the Rudd/Conroy net filtering plan. However, I am able to say well done when it is deserved either way, which you sadly cannot, Mel.

But it's good to see the Liberal faithful, have moved from interest rates, to a new scare tactic, economic credentials, rofl.

Another brainless rant - how about cutting to the chase Jason Mel Sommersberg -- 26/03/09 (in reply to #320126691)

"However, I am able to say well done when it is deserved either way, which you sadly cannot, Mel."

Well done? Senator CONroy? What has he done well Jason?

By the way, interest rates went up before going down under KRudd and the only reason they are low at the moment is because he failed to reign in the economy - instead concentrating more on his overseas travel plans. Is this a fit of jealousy on my part? I'll admit it is - I wish I could get on a plane and go anywhere I wanted at the expense of others, particularly to escape from my responsibilities, just like KRudd does.

CUTTING TO THE CHASE, MEL Jason (brainless for expecting the truth from Mel) -- 26/03/09 (in reply to #320126780)

    HELLO, MEL$TRA

Cutting to the chase. WHERE ARE YOUR PROMISED DEBATING TIPS? (#9).

DO YOU UNDERSTAND, shall I say it s-l-o-w-e-r?

Sorry everyone for shouting, but Braaaadleeeey, here is either deaf or so ***king stupid, it's beggars belief.

Also, what part of Howard's lies, 'interest rates "WILL ALWAYS" be higher under Labor', is so hard for you to understand. No wonder you idolise Mr Garrison, he's possibly a bigger liar than you! Thanks for ignoring my links too. Nothing like ignoring the truth/facts aye?

I guess you do have a point though Lord (haha) Watchdog, it does seem a pointless or even brainless exercise to expect you, not to lie and to actually go through with your promises (refer #9 above).

For the record, I wish you could go on a plane too. Only thing is, extremists like you, probably aren't allowed in most civilised countries. Rofl.

back on topic again Anonymous -- 05/06/09

Feeling better, you two? Then let's go to the subject:

Our dear comms leader is still at an early stage, as he hasn't progressed beyond throwing tantrums to childishly get his own way.

It's about time the older and wiser heads in the Rudd government realised just how stupid this bloody filter would be, and quietly buried Conroy's Folly (burying Conroy as well is optional ;-)).

We have to say these things now because they will be secretly banned if we are all Filtered.
