Something a little different this week. Yes, in the tradition of everyone's favourite faker, lonelygirl15, it's angst-on-camera time.

In order to watch video content you need to enable javascript and install Flash player version 8 or above.

The inaugural Tech and the City vlog discusses nineMSN's new Revver-powered video service yourCut, which will apparently make a whole lot of people rich while allowing them to maintain their artistic integrity.

    Eloquently!

Any idea what happened to YouTube paying people that upload popular videos?

YouTube paying the popular people Ella Morton -- 22/06/07 (in reply to #320081400)

    Hello,

Since announcing in May (http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=4b3PkL8HQcw) that they were going to handpick popular kids to start sharing the coinage with, YouTube has made this statement on the site:

"The Partner Program is a trial program that we've created to recognize and reward the creativity of the YouTube community. A select group of YouTube members has been invited to participate in this revenue-sharing program and to help us evaluate whether it works for the YouTube community and advertisers."

There is also an expression of interest form (http://youtube.com/partpro_signup) where you can state your intention to share in the wealth.

    Video Karen White -- 03/07/07

    Ella,
That was very good, very informative and something a wise person would put on the back burner till they knew more about it, and until they had more experience in that sort of thing. Especially young people just starting out - wisely pointed out.
Could I suggest that next time you use a bit of a script and perhaps check your appearance and movements in a practice session before going on line?
I hope this wont be your last video, as it seems to make the information more applicable when one can see the person talking rather than reading.
    cheers

Your right on Adam Nelson -- 23/08/07 (in reply to #320082070)

    Yep thats right

    In summarize
    - Prepare a outline and basis script. So you can plan what you going to discuss and easily understandable
    - Practice
    - Don't beg or use hand movements unless it's funny. Cause it pointless :(

As for making money from online video. I haven't made a cent yet from Google Adsense, You basically need site like ZDnet.au to see some reasonable income to support the site itself and your video experiment

Your doing good ella and keep it up. If you need a hand or have any other idea you want to run by someone. Give me a yell :)

I enjoyed the video Ella. You're a natural!

We think product placement in online video is another means to reimburse producers and monetise content.
