Welcome to Patch Monday, ZDNet.com.au's weekly podcast that looks at the big stories within the Australian IT community.

On this week's show we look at Fujitsu's purchase of Kaz from Telstra and what it means for government contracts; teachers and librarians have criticised the NSW Department of Education's web filtering system; and Crown copyright makes it back into the news again with Railcorp threatening a Sydney software developer with legal action over a train timetable iPhone application.

We also look at Cisco picking up a $13.8 million contract to deploy video-conferencing for the Federal Government; the local impact of SAP's global layoff; and examine the average Australian IT salary.

    Not bad Ort -- 10/03/09

Fairly decent discussion, but either get better microphones, or make sure you are talking into them.

I'd suggest that the podcast was a little long, but that is just for my tastes and others may disagree.

So perhaps you need to work faster next week.

Liked it a lot ZDNet reader -- 13/03/09

Nice thoughtful discussion - well done. Podcast though - how very mid decade. VIdeo next time please.
